Mercedes boss: Rosberg Not Intentionally Senggol Hamilton, but
Stavelot – Kubu Mercedes Nico Rosberg dismissed the notion that the car nudged his own teammate, Lewis Hamilton, on purpose. But Rosberg was considered to hold a big hand in the incident.
In the race at the Belgian Grand Prix on Sunday (08/25/2014), Rosberg crashed into the rear of the car Hamilton on the second lap. The incident makes Rosberg broken car wing although he could still go and finish second. While Hamilton fared worse because his tires were broken so he could not continue the race.
After the race Hamilton claimed that at the meeting of the Mercedes team, Rosberg admits collision‘ve done that on purpose. Executive Director of Business Mercedes Toto Wolff straighten the statement. According to him, although not intentional, the actual incidence could be avoided if Rosberg was insistent.
“Nico feels he needs to maintain its course. He wants to prove something, and to Lewis, it is clear that he was not aware of the existence of Nico. He (Rosberg) insisted to go ahead. She thought Lewis was the one who had to give Lewis space and do not give it space , “Wolff said at Crash.
“So they agreed to not agree with each other in a heated discussion among ourselves, but it was not a deliberate crash. Was nonsense,” he continued.
“There is a clash that should be avoided, collision in the second lap, the maneuver is Nico and he should not do that. Was also showing that he is not ready to budge. Reviewing, if he could turn back the clock Nico probably would not do it like that he has done, “explained Wolff.
Even so, he was reluctant to blame Rosberg or anyone. Wolff only regretted the loss of points in the race due to the failure of Hamilton finish. “It’s not something that we want.“
